Orchard Sweet Foods was founded by Brendan Kelley and Ray Canik. Both Brendan and Ray are former senior executives of the Ben Myerson Candy Company of Los Angeles. Ben Myerson Candy Company™ ceased operations as a candy company in November 2006. Under Myerson family ownership the Ben Myerson Candy Company™ produced and sold Fruit Gems™ under license from the Sunkist Growers Cooperative™.
Today, Orchard Sweet Foods continues that fine tradition with the introduction of Seneca Fruit Confections under license from the Seneca Food Corporation™. Orchard Sweet is staffed by many former Myerson Candy Company employees who are striving to recreate that same family atmosphere, superior products and outstanding customer service.
